Most sleep audio starts in delta — the state you can’t reach when your nervous system is already in overdrive. Midnight Calm is designed differently. It begins at 6 Hz theta: the exact brainwave state of a mind that is buzzing, processing, replaying. It starts where you actually are.
Over 60 minutes, the binaural beat frequency descends in gentle steps — 6 Hz, then 5 Hz, then 4 Hz, then 3 Hz, arriving finally at 2 Hz deep delta. This is brainwave entrainment used with intention: the brain, given a stable frequency to follow, tends to follow it.
